i miss you

i woke up today and realized that i will no longer wake up to your morning greetings

you won't ask me anymore if i want to eat breakfast though you know i never do, but you still asked anyway in case i changed my mind that day.

i hate it that you left me so suddenly when we promised to still do many things together. you were supposed to still come home.

i'm just being selfish, as you know so well. I gladly take this pain because it means that you'll never have to suffer again.

For the hugs that we'll never share again, i'll just make do with the pillows you made for me.
